DRIVE Festival Postponement
It is with great disappointment that we announce the postponement of this year’s DRIVE Festival, due to take place on 23 August at the Border Events Centre, Kelso.
This decision has not been taken lightly but in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have to prioritise the health and safety of everyone involved in the event. Whilst there is a chance – under the latest government guidance – that the event could run safely, it will be a number of weeks before the position on this is clear.
We therefore felt that it is only right to provide clarity to all involved and to take the regrettable decision to postpone until 2021.
We know that this will come as a huge disappointment, not only to the visitors, competitors, partners and exhibitors who were due to attend the event, but also to us as organisers and hosts.
It is particularly disappointing for this to happen in the inaugural year of this exciting new festival, which was shaping up to be the one of the highlights of the Scottish motorsport calendar.
However, we will be bringing the event back next summer and will announce the date as soon as we can. On the plus side, this gives us more time to make DRIVE Festival 2021 even bigger and better!
